Spritedex

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026

Sprite Dex ("the app", "we") is a tool for viewing and tracking a Fortnite Sprite collection. This policy explains what data the app handles and why. Sprite Dex is a fan-made project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Epic Games, Inc. Fortnite is a trademark of Epic Games, Inc.

What we collect

When you choose to sign in with Epic Games, Epic shares a limited set of account information with the app, based on the permissions you consent to on Epic's own screen:

• Basic profile — your Epic display name and account identifier.
• Any additional information you explicitly consent to at sign-in (for example, country), if requested.

Signing in is optional. You are shown exactly what you are granting on Epic's consent screen before anything is shared, and you can decline.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your Epic password — sign-in happens entirely on Epic's own systems.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not track you across other websites.

Your collection data

Your Sprite collection progress (which Sprites you own, which are mastered, and related notes) is stored locally in your own browser on the device you use. It is not uploaded to us. Clearing your browser storage removes it. If you export an image of your collection, that image is generated on your device and saved by you.

How we use information

Any account information shared at sign-in is used only to identify you within the app (for example, to show your display name) and to display your collection. It is not used for any other purpose.

Third parties

The app is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may process standard technical request data (such as IP address) as part of serving the page, under GitHub's privacy statement. Collection data displayed in the app may originate from third-party Fortnite Sprite services that you have separately connected to your own Epic account; your use of those services is governed by their own policies.

Data retention

Because collection progress lives in your browser, you control its retention — it stays until you clear it. Any account identifier obtained at sign-in is kept only for the duration of your session and is not stored on a server operated by us.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). Do not sign in if you are under the applicable age.

Your rights

You can revoke the app's access to your Epic account at any time from your Epic Games account settings. You can remove your local collection data by clearing your browser storage for this site.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
